Finance Manager

Jun 18, 2026

The Role

Config is building the data and model layer for real-world robotic automation. We develop scalable data infrastructure and robot foundation models for bimanual manipulation — and we're growing fast. Backed by a $27M seed round led by Samsung, Hyundai, LG, and SKT, we are scaling our operations across the US, Korea, and Vietnam.

As Finance Manager at Config, you will own the day-to-day financial operations of a multi-entity, multi-currency startup operating across three countries. You will be the financial backbone of the company — ensuring our books are clean, our cash is managed, our people are paid accurately and on time, and our tax obligations are met across jurisdictions. This is not an FP&A role; it is a deeply operational finance position where precision, reliability, and cross-border expertise matter more than modeling.

You will report directly to the COO and work closely with legal, HR, and leadership on everything from payroll processing to entity compliance.

Areas You May Contribute To

  • Own end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping across Config's US, Korean, and Vietnamese entities.
  • Manage cash and treasury operations — cash positioning, multi-currency FX exposure, intercompany transfers, and banking relationships across jurisdictions.
  • Run the full payroll cycle for employees in Korea, the US, and Vietnam, coordinating with local payroll providers and ensuring timely, accurate disbursement.
  • Lead tax compliance across all entities: corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, transfer pricing documentation, and R&D tax credit filings.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections.
  • Maintain statutory compliance and work with external auditors and local accountants in each jurisdiction.
  • Oversee expense management policies and employee reimbursement processes.
  • Support fundraising and investor reporting from an operational finance standpoint — cap table maintenance, wire coordination, and closing mechanics.
  • Build and maintain financial controls, processes, and documentation appropriate for a high-growth, post-seed startup.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of finance or accounting experience, with direct exposure to multi-entity or international operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Korean corporate accounting standards (K-GAAP or K-IFRS) and Korean payroll and tax compliance.
  • Working knowledge of US entity accounting and tax obligations is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing payroll across different employment structures (full-time, contractor, employer-of-record).
  • Proficiency with accounting software and strong Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and a zero-defect mentality around numbers and deadlines.
  • Fluency in Korean; working proficiency in English.

Bonus Points

  • Experience at an early-stage startup or high-growth tech company.
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting and transfer pricing in a Korea-US structure.
  • CPA (Korea or US) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with EOR providers (e.g. Deel, Remote) for international headcount.
