“After cloud comes robots”: AWS bets on Korea's Physical AI

AWS Korea CEO Ham Ki-ho used his keynote at AWS Summit Seoul 2026 to position Physical AI — the extension of digital intelligence into the physical world — as the next major axis of cloud-market growth.

The company is doubling down on Korean robotics startups, including Config, as part of its strategy to anchor the next generation of cloud workloads in physical-world applications. The keynote framed Korea as a "dynamic ecosystem" for Physical AI development.
