On-site: Physical AI startup Config halves robot training costs with AWS

Speaking at AWS Summit Seoul 2026 at COEX, Config CEO Minjoon Seo announced that the company has cut robot foundation model (RFM) training costs in half by building its data pipeline on AWS cloud infrastructure.

The pipeline now processes more than 100TB of robot data per month with 6× lower transfer cost and 2× lower storage cost compared to Config's prior setup. The cost reduction is load-bearing as Config scales data collection across its Seoul and Hanoi operations to feed CFG-1's training corpus.
